THE GORDONSVILLE HERALD
 September 1, 2025

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

I am so glad that Fall is on its way. As I am writing this early in the morning, I am sitting on my patio, enjoying the early morning chill and a hot cup of coffee after doing my morning Bible study. Taking time to sit with the Lord and His Word gives me a great sense of peace and is a wonderful way for me to start each day.

I think it is incredibly important to have a daily practice of spending time with God. Prayer, devotion, study...all of these draw us closer to God and his amazing purpose for our lives. If you would like a Bible reading plan or would like more information about daily Bible reading and journaling, please give me a call, and we can set up a time for a cup of coffee (or tea) to discuss steps on moving forward.

I will begin preaching from the Book of James on Sunday, August 31st and that will carry us nearly to Advent . . . a season I get truly excited about . . . but before we get there, we are going to look at Paul's Epistle to Philemon as well . . .often overlooked in our studies.

I do have another exciting announcement. Jeannie and I will be away for vacation from September 23rd through October 4th. In our absence, the Rev. Patrick Hartsfield will be bringing the word on Sunday, September 28th.

In Him,

Pastor Jason

joy at seeing friends, excitement at new experiences, and a love of learning. Watch

over all who learn, replacing fear with joy, anxiety and peace, and tiredness with
