• There will be a
Special Called Business Meeting for the Deacon Election at the close of the September 7th Worship Service. Please be mindful of the qualifications for a Deacon per our Constitution and Bylaws — ► “(1) Qualifications: The deacon shall be an adult of at least twenty-one (2l) years of age. The qualifications and functions of a deacon are closely akin to those of the pastor. The same high level of service and consecration expected of the pastor is expected of the deacon. Each deacon is expected to follow the scriptural plan of faithful stewardship of resources and be a servant of the church. The deacon is expected to cooperate with the pastor and to be loyal and faithful to the entire church program. The deacon should be willing to give freely of time and ability to all church causes. The deacon should be committed to the standards of consecration and service as set forth in I Timothy 3:8-13.”
